Making the Most of Holiday Family Time
PAIRS Foundation is offering a series of free one-hour webinars to help families learn a powerful exercise for creating joyful holidays.
“Holidays can be a time of wonderful celebration, sharing and connection,” says Seth Eisenberg, PAIRS Foundation’s President and CEO. “But for many,” he says, “it can also be a time of added anxiety and stress as extended families come together around the dinner table.”
“Practical skills to help families connect and confide with empathy, honesty, and compassion are especially important during the holidays,” Eisenberg says. “We’re delighted to be able to offer free webinars to help families experience powerful conversations that matter during this holiday season.”
Lauren and Michael DelGandio first attended a PAIRS class in Weston, Florida three years ago to learn skills to strengthen their 14-year marriage. “From the first exercise,” Michael DelGandio says, “we began rediscovering the joy and passion of our earliest years together.”
“The skills made an immediate difference for us as a couple and as a family,” Lauren DelGandio adds. “Three years later,” she says, “our family is stronger than ever. We’ve learned to easily, naturally and regularly confide, share, and play along with a deeper understanding of ourselves and each other.”
Eisenberg says PAIRS has touched the lives of tens of thousands of families such as the DelGandios since classes were first offered to the public in 1983.
“Falling in love is the easy part,” he says. “PAIRS classes deliver time-tested, research-validated skills for nurturing, sustaining and celebrating love.”
Eisenberg says the free webinars will include an introduction to PAIRS unique approach to the logic of love and emotions, stages of relationship, bonding, communication styles that strengthen families through open communication grounded in empathy and respect, with five specific steps to help couples and families connect with each other during holiday celebrations.
